Transition and change can be difficult without knowledge and wisdom. Through my process to natural hair, I have learned that my hair texture is beautiful. It's curly, trainable and easy to care for with the right product and touch. I am learning to love who I am naturally. Not to say that I will not grab some extra hair one day, but my hair is beautiful! Yep I said it...beautiful. Thank you Lord for a head full of hair. LOL

"Think Like a Man" - Review
This movie was both entertaining and somewhat enlightening.
I have been reading articles written by men and women who in their opinion disagree with Steve Harvey's philosophy on relationships. The common theme is, "If God wanted women to think like men, He would have made us men." I get that. I also believe the author wants women to understand their value and their ability to really have what they want if they go about it in a certain way. However, getting what you want should not require manipulation and playing games. But it does require a woman to know her God, herself, what she really wants in life and in a romantic relationship. That way, she can maintain her morals and values, ultimately getting what she has been prepared for.
Another comment I overheard said, "No man can tell a woman how to be a woman." I disagree. I have learned over time that men study women from head to toe, inside and out and most of them understand how to get a woman to do exactly what they need her to do. I also believe that older women have been charged to teach the younger ladies and girls how to conduct themselves. But the bottom line is, a woman must be discerning enough to know the type of man she is spending her time with because it's easy to be blindsided and deceived because of the need to be in a relationship.
In this movie, you will have to chew the meat and spit out the bones. It appears that the main idea is to entertain the audience, yet provide some insight and wisdom on dating relationships and why they fail at times. I am sure Steve Harvey will be the first to admit that he is no expert and that he is just sharing his perspective. Which leaves me feeling like other people who are tweeting, starting fan pages against Steve Harvey and writing articles are taking this backlash too far! It's a project that made ohhhh $33 MILLION at the box office opening weekend. If the complaining folk have a better idea, how about making their own movie and sharing it with the world. Otherwise congratulate this man for stepping out on his dream.
Finally, I will say this movie is open for interpretation but I enjoyed it and will probably see it again. I see it for what it is...humor and a good time. Plus I enjoy seeing Black Love on the big screen. :)
